How Ideas Are Born: Our New Thread Stand That Makes Every Stitch Easier
Every project begins with a need. Working on my sewing and embroidery projects, I kept encountering a classic problem—the thread would slip, tangle, or break right when the work was in full swing. Standard solutions didn't always meet my standards, and that’s when the thought arose: why not create something ideal ourselves?
That is how our joint adventure with my husband began. We sat over blueprints, discussed every detail and height, until we together conceived and designed a thread stand tailored precisely to what I, as a maker, needed most in my daily work. My husband calculated, engineered, and brought it to life using 3D printing technology (from durable PETG material).
Before offering this stand to others, I thoroughly tested it myself in my studio. Now I use it with immense joy and relish every moment when the thread glides perfectly, steadily, and smoothly! It is a tool that truly makes life easier for both hobbyists and professional work.
Every piece we create in Liepāja hides within it both technical skills and my love for the art of sewing. It is a pleasure to share this joy of creation with you as well!
